CREATING A CULTURE OF INVITATION
Imagine a church where church members are not afraid to invite people to the services; where they are confident that the experience will be good and that encounters with the living God will happen. According to the research 'Church Going in the UK' by Tearfund, almost 3 million people are open to being invited to church.
Michael Harvey, international speaker, author and pioneer of both Back to Church Sunday and the Weekend of Invitation will bring his training workshop to St Mary Magdalene at 7.45pm on Tuesday 22nd May.
The evening itself will be inspirational, challenging, humorous, thought-provoking, interactive and life changing. It is for anyone at any stage of their Christian journey. It will help us overcome our fears and increase our expectation of God working in us and through us.
Churches that have already experienced the training at the heart of The National Weekend of Invitation now have stories to tell. They speak about:
Seeing a change in the culture of their church – moving from being, at best, 'welcoming' to becoming expectantly 'invitational'.
Experiencing significantly greater numbers receiving and accepting invitations to church services and events.
There are hundreds of thousands of people in our churches today because of a simple invitation. Please come and hear how we can all play a part in transforming people's lives.
So book the date (Tuesday 22nd May) and come along - for those in Small Groups or Clusters, come as a group - it will be a stimulating and encouraging evening!
I hope to see you there
