2019 Culture of Invitation web

Tuesday 15th January, 7.30pm-9.30pm
In developing a culture of invitation we need to look at what we are thinking. So many of our thoughts are unconscious, and the session will help us look at those thoughts and practice being transformed by the renewing of our minds. So how can we keep our minds aligned with loving God?

Tuesday 5th February, 7.30pm-9.30pm
In developing a culture of invitation we need to look at how our emotions can alert us to the brokenness within us. Fear is a double edged sword. Fear can either trap us in unlived lives or in fact be an indicator of the presence of God that God is calling us to grow. Typically of God he uses our weakness. He calls Abraham to be the father of nations and God does it through his barren wife. Moses says I am slow of speech and tongue and yet Moses goes on to bring us the ten commandments and lays down the Torah. The reason we can’t answer the call of God is the reason God is calling.

Tuesday 5th March, 7.30pm-9.30pm
In developing a culture of invitation we need to look at the tools that God has given us, our strength. Faith is not just a noun, it is a verb, it is a doing word. Faith is well used when it faces our fear. Faith is a chance to use our free will our strength to love God and love our neighbour. Hope is a component of our strength for when we face disappointment there is always hope.

Tuesday 19th March, 7.30-9.30pm
In developing a culture of invitation we need to see this not just as a one off but a way of life. We practice the acronym ACORN as a personal and corporate practice we ask God, we hear the call, we go and obey, we report back and we find God (numinous) within the process.
