Resources and Support

Following on from the Church of England guidance we are unable to gather in the church building for worship or other activities.  This does not mean that church is cancelled, it's just a different shape! Please watch the video below giving an outline of our new shape over the coming weeks:

Here's a summary of some of the things that we are offering for you to join with us….

WEEKLY SERVICES

Sunday Services Online - Join with us for weekly morning worship, with songs, prayer, junior church time and a message each Sunday at 10am.  Go to www/stmarysaom.org/SundayOnline

Fuel Youth Online - For anyone with teenage children Fuel are also meeting online via their Instagram and YouTube channel offering games, inspiration, worship and meeting up live in Fuel group video chat every Friday night from 8pm.  For more information visit www.stmarysaom.org/FuelOnline

MIDWEEK

Morning Prayer - We have put together a Morning prayer sheet that you can download and use each day.  Videos are also available to guide you through this liturgy. www.stmarysaom.org/FaithInTheWeek

Midweek Reflections - The Vicars and the Children’s Pastor have all set up public Facebook profiles from which they are providing mid-week thoughts and reflections.  Have a look at these profiles and if you’re a Facebook user send them a friend request so that their updates appear on your feed.

Discipleship Communities – As we are moving into this new phase of online Church, we are also encouraging our discipleship communities to connect online using WhatsApp, Messenger, Skype or Zoom. It is so important at this that we have regular fellowship with one another, even if it is online over video or voice chat!

RESOURCES

Prayer – Sometimes we simply can’t find the words to express to God what we are feeling with what’s going on at the moment so here you can find a series of short videos providing ‘top tips’ for prayer plus a range of prayers that you can use to either read quietly on your own or perhaps out loud with your families.  To view the top tips or download the prayers go to www.stmarysaom.org/prayer

Faith Through the Week - This is a place to help you in your spiritual walk with God every day of the week, Church doesn’t just end on Sunday. Here are some useful resources to sustain and nourish your faith each day. www.stmarysaom.org/FaithInTheWeek

Family Faith Resources - In this uncertain time, you might be stuck for ideas of what to do around the house with your children! Julie will be putting some useful material here to help you to plan your weeks ahead including fun activities, help and support for families. www.stmarysaom.org/FamilyFaith
