NEW HOME - NEW CHALLENGES!

March 19 (1)Many of us remember Simon and Sue Yeomans, some perhaps from when Simon taught in Urmston and was a member of Sale West Church.  In 2001 he felt called to work with Operation Mobilisation (OM) in France where he met his Canadian wife Sue.  They’ve served together since then in different roles, working with local churches to reach French people with the gospel.

Life moves on!  Sue’s family in Canada needed extra support.  Simon and Sue moved to Canada last July (2018), joining the OM team there.  How would they settle in a very different country, especially Simon?  Could they still have a ministry?

Here are some excerpts from a recent letter:
March 19a (1)‘Reading through our last newsletter, I am reminded how much has changed over the past few months, and how grateful we are to all our friends for accompanying us on our journey.  We found a great church nearby in Niagara Falls. We sold our flat in France and moved into a lovely little bungalow just 15 minutes’ drive from where we work!

Now we have somewhere to live we would love to connect with French speakers in our town. We need a way to make friends.

I (Simon) am enjoying my role as Associate Director of OM Canada, overseeing finance, HR and operations.  I’m still remotely involved with managing the finances for the team in France. The good news is that a young woman will soon be joining the team to take on this responsibility.

For me (Sue) I’ve enjoyed being back in Canada, reconnecting with my family. We visit my Dad once a month in a seniors’ home and combine visits to see other family members.

Workwise I’ve been accompanying a few Canadians who want to join OM in coming months.
We’ve just hosted a preparation weekend.   I will also be helping the team in France while they search for more long- term help in their personnel department. ‘

Prayer and Praise: Summary

More updates: Look up their latest letter on the Mission Partners website or Missions Display Board. Visit their stall at Missions Unpacked Tues July 2nd. Maybe your group could pray for them regularly!
