English Classes & Conversation Café at St Mary's
These are classes aimed at anyone who does not have English as a first language and would like to learn and practise English in a welcoming and friendly environment.
We offer a course which lasts 8 weeks, on Thursdays, from 10 am to 12 noon.

We divide the morning into 1 hour English class (two classes for different levels of English) and 1 hour conversation café, where you can have informal, relaxed chats with English speakers and fun games. You also get a free hot drink in the café. Children are welcome and have their own room with toys.
We started running these classes and café in July 2022, and this will be our fourth course at St Mary's. We have a wonderful team of teachers and volunteers who come every week or on a rota to teach and help students. We have around 30 students of different nationalities and some children come along too. We also organise social events where everyone can enjoy a meal and get to know one another.
