CHURCH LIBRARY UPDATE 

The Library has now been open for 6 months and we hope it has helped in your walk in faith. We have had some encouraging testimonies –

“It is nice to see the bookstall doors open all the time and illuminated, welcoming our use.”
“ Browsing the books one lunchtime I found a book that really hit the spot for me.”
 
So a big thank you to all who have generously given the books; without your support we would have no library.  Please continue to donate your books which you believe will interest and help others deepen their faith. Books by contemporary authors would be particularly welcome.
 
We hope to open separate shelves for youth and children, so if you have any books relevant to these age groups please consider donating them.
 
If you are new to the church or have not used the facility before, it is to be found in the foyer opposite the café. Browse, borrow and return at your leisure (all books in alphabetical order by author). No signing in or out to inconvenience you. Just try it.
 
Feel free to borrow for friends, neighbours, relatives as well as yourself. The aim is to increase Christian reading to help people come to faith; and grow in faith, we can never know enough about God’s character and living our lives to glorify him amidst our changing circumstances.
 
No donated books are wasted as duplicated books and those subsequently withdrawn from display (making room for new ones) are given to local Christian groups and charities. Be assured that we try to check all books on our shelves to make sure they are suitable and appropriate for an open Christian reading library.
 
The counter in front of the shelves is solely for books/devotionals displayed as selections which are:-

• Recommended to supplement sermon series reading
• Appropriate to current church calendar
• Helpful to participants attending our various growing in faith courses
• Books on stands displayed there are recommended by church leaders or other readers 

We hope God will speak to more people through a visit to our church library; ask a friend to the Heartbeat Café and then suggest they may like ‘a browse’. Christian reading supplements worship by teaching us God’s word and creates joy in our lives.
