SUMMARY OF THE JAN AND FEB PCC MEETINGS

Summary of the PCC meeting held on 28th January 2019

  • Curtains are now in place in church, which close over the door into the church centre.  This is to help reduce the noise from the church centre.
  • A magnetic lock on the south porch door has now been installed to help with security at Fuel.
  • The church has received numerous thank you letters from mission partners who have received financial support from us through our mission giving.
  • The PCC were updated on the development of Jane Mottram’s role of Operations Manager.
  • The Christingle service was discussed in terms of the high number of people in attendance and how we ensure good health and safety practice.  There is a plan in place to discuss and address the challenges we face for next year.
  • The electoral roll stands at 501. 

Summary of the PCC meeting held on 25th February 2019

  • It was reported that Damon Louth will be leaving his role at Sale West as the Children and Families Worker at the end of May.
  • A proposal for 2019 budgeted items was presented and approved.
  • The PCC approved the purchase of a contactless card reader to take one-off donations, for use in church and at events.
  • The PCC approved in principle the request for Butterflies to purchase fold-away gym equipment that will be installed in the hall.  A Butterflies parent will be running the Manchester Marathon to raise funds for this.
  • The electoral roll stands at 499.
