It will be presented to UK Government during the ‘Preventing Sexual Violence in Conflict’ initiative in November this year.  The handmade petition I SEE YOU will also be hung on display in Chapter House, Westminster Abbey (freely accessed via the Cloister Entrance) in the hope it will have a significant impact on those who see it.

The Open Doors message to persecuted women is 'I see you my sister, vulnerable for both your faith and gender. I choose to see you when the persecution you face is hidden, ignored or unseen by others.'

Esther, a Nigerian Christian who was taken captive by Islamic militants Boko Haram, said “We need your support and we need you to speak out on our behalf.”

Open Doors supports Trauma Care Workshops.  Nigerian girls and women who attended were helped, and with the aid of an artist were able to paint self-portraits. All were helped to see themselves as children of God, loved, cherished and of inestimable worth.
