Yeomans

Dear friends at St Mary’s and Sale West Community Church,

Thank you so much for your continued support for our work with Operation Mobilization (OM). We are so thankful for your standing with us over our more than 20 years in ministry. Be assured that your prayers and generosity have made a big difference both in our lives and for the advancement of God’s kingdom in France, Canada and throughout the world.

OM’s vision is to see vibrant communities of Jesus Followers among the least reached. With that aim in mind, we seek to raise people and funds for God’s work throughout the globe, with a particular emphasis on areas where there are very few Jesus followers and churches at present. Our five spotlight areas shown below give you an idea of where we are focussing our efforts at this time. In addition to these areas, we also do our best to support our two ships, the Logos Hope and the Doulos Hope.

Simon is the Associate Director of OM in Canada, based at our Port Colborne office in southern Ontario. He oversees all our internal operations, finance and HR, ensuring that our systems are functioning well. Sue serves as one of our Missions Coaches, interacting, preparing and training new recruits from Canada for their work overseas, particularly those going to Europe, South America and Oceania.

OM Canada has set itself a bold target, to double our effectiveness over the next four years. This means that we need to recruit more fundraisers and mobilizers to enthuse the church about the three billion people in the world who have not yet encountered the message of the gospel or been able to respond. We want to grow, not for ourselves, but so the kingdom of God expands further and many more hear of the saving grace of Jesus. Part of this vision for growth includes transitioning to new systems in HR management and finance, and this involves a great deal of detailed preparation, checking and training. Thanks for your prayers for these transitions to go well and produce the desired results.

Personally, we have had a bumpy ride this year, especially with Sue’s cancer diagnosis and treatment. We are particularly grateful to all of you who have reached out and shown us love and care during this journey. We are so encouraged that the treatment went well, and all the more conscious of our need to rely on God’s sustenance and provision moving forward. Thank you for standing with us so faithfully!

With our love,
Simon and Sue
